At its core, depression is anger and pain turned inward. Clients seeking help for this often report low energy levels, disinterest in things once enjoyed, changes in sleep or appetite, self-loathing, and isolation.

While not clinically recognized, terms like bed-rotting and doom-scrolling are frequently used to describe these episodes. I approach this with the same compassion and curiosity I want clients to develop for themselves. Usually, clients and I work together to create a wellness plan, then move into behavioral activation.

Using the pain and peace cycle, I help clients uncover the lies they believe about themselves and replace those negative core beliefs with new truths. I am trained in CAMS care (Collaboration, Assessment, and Management of Suicidality) and offer comprehensive interventions for clients who require safety plans or higher levels of care.
