Leah Gillam, LCSW-S, APSATS CCPS-C
As a dedicated EMDR therapist, I specialize in providing compassionate support for individuals navigating through trauma, anxiety, depression, and other challenges.
My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, respect, and collaboration. I believe in creating a safe and nurturing space where you can explore your experiences, emotions, and thoughts without judgment. Together, we'll work towards understanding the impact of past events on your present life and develop effective strategies to overcome obstacles and achieve your goals.

I am deeply passionate about the transformative power of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy. EMDR is a research-backed, integrative approach that enables individuals to process and integrate traumatic memories, freeing them from their emotional grip and paving the way for healing and resilience. With EMDR, I have witnessed profound breakthroughs as individuals reclaim their lives with newfound strength and clarity.
In addition to EMDR therapy, I draw upon a range of therapeutic modalities, including dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness practices, and experiential resources, tailored to meet your unique needs and preferences. My goal is to empower you with practical tools and insights that you can apply both inside and outside the therapy office.

I understand that taking the first step towards therapy can be daunting, but rest assured, you're not alone. Wherever you are in your journey, I'm here to support you every step of the way. Together, we can cultivate a path towards healing, growth, and greater well-being.
If you're ready to embark on this transformative journey, I invite you to reach out and schedule a consultation. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.

Best,
Leah

What is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) was developed by Fracine Shapiro, PhD in the 1980s to effectively treat and resolve symptoms of trauma. EMDR leverages neurobiology by using the brain's adaptive information processing system, along with bilateral stimulation, to improve the way we think about ourselves and our past. EMDR is one of two modalities recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) to treat trauma. For more information, please visit www.emdria.org.
What is an APSATS CCPS-C?
APSATS is the Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (www.apsats.org). This organization trains therapists and coaches to provide trauma responsive care to individuals who have experienced sexual betrayal in their relationship. I have completed this training and am pursuing the designation of certified clinical partner specialist. As a CCPS-candidate, I am passionate about helping betrayed partners rebuild their lives. For clients seeking a full therapeutic disclosure (FTD) I am open to collaborating with other helping professionals.
