Families go through seasons of stress and change. You do not have to do it alone. At Selah Counseling Center in Pearland, we help families slow down, listen well, and grow together. We also offer secure telehealth to anyone living in Texas.
Secure the Foundation
Families are the building blocks of society. They also need support to adapt and thrive. Family therapy helps you review habits and attitudes, keep what works, and apply strengths to hard places.
Each person has a role in the solution. In session, every voice matters. We help each member name their part and practice new ways to connect.
Parent coaching and family work are core parts of our practice. We do not perform home studies or provide custody recommendations for court.
A Note From Leah
Are you feeling stuck, lost, or overwhelmed? Relational trauma can leave strong triggers, deep grief, and a shaken sense of self. If you are reading this, a part of you is ready to heal.
Asking for help can feel scary. My goal is to offer a safe place to find hope again. My style is collaborative and nonjudgmental.
I work with individuals of all ages and with families. I am EMDR certified and trained in DBT. I also help with anxiety, depression, grief, and high‑conflict relationships.
What Is Family Therapy?
Family therapy is a structured way to improve how your family relates. We look at patterns that block trust and teamwork. We build skills that support respect, safety, and problem solving.
Sessions may include the whole family or subgroups. At times, brief individual work can support family goals. We tailor the plan to your needs.
When Family Therapy Helps
- Frequent conflict, shutdowns, or walking on eggshells
- Parenting strain, power struggles, or co‑parenting after separation
- Blended family transitions and new roles
- Teen behavior, school issues, or social stress
- Trauma that affects the family system
- Anxiety, depression, or grief that touches everyone
- Addiction recovery support for partners and families
- Life changes, chronic illness, or caregiving stress
Note: We do not do home studies or custody recommendations. We are not a forensic provider.
