Child And Adolescent Counseling

Children and teens face real stress. School, friends, family change, and loss can feel heavy. Therapy gives young people a safe place to talk and learn skills.

Our Approach

We build a calm, respectful space for every child. We set goals with the family and the child. We focus on strengths and clear next steps.

Our team uses proven methods:

  • EMDR to process hard memories and reduce triggers
  • CBT to change unhelpful thoughts and actions
  • DBT skills for emotion regulation and relationships
  • Mindfulness for calm and focus
  • Play-based and experiential tools for younger clients

Parents are key partners. We include parent sessions and coaching as needed. We may coordinate with schools or pediatricians with your consent.

EMDR for Youth

EMDR helps the brain heal from trauma. It reduces the power of painful memories. For teens, EMDR can improve sleep, focus, and mood. For younger children, we adapt EMDR with play, art, and movement. Sessions move at a pace that feels safe.

Parent Coaching and Family Work

We offer parent coaching to support change at home. Family sessions can improve communication and routines. We do not perform home studies or make custody recommendations for court.

Telehealth Across Texas

You can meet by secure video through SimplePractice. Telehealth works well for older teens and for parent sessions. Younger children often do best in person. Session rates and policies are the same for telehealth and office visits. Appointments are required. Texas residents are welcome statewide.
